And the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress goes to….
Well….. not just any “someone,” it’s obviously not going to be the girl from “The Girl in Gold Boots.” Nope, chances are it’ll be one of the people in the Props below. They’re good actresses all, but there can only be one winner…..
So here they are, the nominees for best supporting actress at the 2012 Academy Awards:
“The Artist” has already won a handful of awards (and has been nominated for more…) including the Golden Globe for “Best Motion Picture, Comedy or Musical.” It’s somewhat reasonable to assume it’ll win a couple Oscars, and this one could get it. Let’s say that the actresses of “The Help” cancel out each other’s votes then it’s a 3 horse race…. so…. it’s possible….

We think The Help has the potential to win a decent amount of awards. And as far as Jessica Chastain goes, there’s always the chance that the Academy tries to differentiate themselves from the Golden Globes…. but not toooo much….. and gives Chastain this award….

Bridesmaids is hilarious. Melissa McCarthy is hilarious. Is it enough to win an Oscar?

We don’t know. Honestly. No clue. We haven’t seen Albert Nobbs so….. it’s probably going to be hard to make a judgement…. we did see the trailer though…. so there’s that…..
Arbitrary percentage Janet McTeer wins the Oscar: 25%
She won the Golden Globe for this very same award. Repeat? Or perhaps that’ll hurt her chances. There’s also the possibility of Chastain splitting some of her votes….. Interesting. That’s what this nomination is. So many possibilities…..
